29 Weeks

How far along:  29 weeks
Gender:  Girl
Belly button in or out: Out.
Maternity clothes:  Definitely growing out of most sweatshirts I sleep in, so I've moved onto Tyler's closet.
Stretch marks: None yet.
Sleep: For the most part, sleep is still good.  I've been falling asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow.
Best moment this week: Coming home to a painted nursery today!
Miss anything:  At my appointment this week, my doctor asked me how it felt to be the biggest I've ever been. I'm pretty sure I fake laughed and said something like "oh it definitely feels different".  I felt like saying 1.) lady, we passed that mark months ago, and 2.) like I can't wait to be back to my "normal" self.   Let's just say I'm looking forward to having Ellie in my arms and out of my belly. :)
Movement:  Lots of knees, elbows, hands + feet this week.
Cravings:  I feel like I just appreciate food more in general these days... strawberries, bananas, yogurt, waffles, fried chicken, you name it. ;)
Queasy or sick:  Same as last week. Emphasis on the tiredness. And definitely starting to get more uncomfortable in general.
Looking forward to:  Maternity leave.

Here are some pics of the nursery!

The before color...

Little helpers.

And the after.

The cats feel the need to follow us everywhere, so they're in every picture.

It's hard to get a good picture, but we are really happy with the color!  It makes the room feel much brighter.  If we were planning on staying in this house a while, I'd probably want to paint the entire house (and I think Tyler would actually agree!)

On another note, how cute is this teething necklace?  It actually looks like a "real" necklace, is bite-proof and dishwasher safe.  I thought it was such a cool idea, I had to pick one out!  My only fear is that she will think she can chew on any necklace I wear, but I'm pretty sure she will regardless. :)

28 Weeks

How far along:  28 weeks
Gender:  Girl
Belly button in or out: Same as last week. I guess I'll go with out from now on.
Maternity clothes:  Still the same.
Stretch marks: None yet.
Sleep: Good other than the cats waking me up for no apparent reason.
Best moment this week: Tyler moved his desk into the other bedroom last weekend so the nursery is officially underway!
Miss anything: Energy.
Movement:  Lots! :)
Cravings:  Sweets. Definitely craved pizza this week, too.
Queasy or sick:  Other than the heartburn and tiredness, still feeling good.  I'm pretty sure I woke up in the middle of the night one night this past week to tell Tyler that Ellia better have a lot of hair if I have to suffer from the heartburn. ;)
Looking forward to:  I have my glucose test this week and I am not looking forward to it, BUT I am looking forward to getting it over with (and hopefully passing!!)

Our mail delivery officially sucks because of all the snow.  After sitting at the post office for a couple weeks, Tyler picked up Ellie's letters last Saturday.  It was worth the wait - Colby thinks so, too!

We're going to try to pick up the paint tomorrow. I'm pretty sure this is the color we decided on.  I've only been staring at it every day for a month and a half now, so we'll see if I change my mind before tomorrow afternoon.   I can't make a decision to save my life sometimes...

Lastly, I practiced my swaddling skills on a stuffed kitty while Tyler prepped the walls to paint. That's normal, right? :)

Doesn't she look cozy?

27 Weeks

How far along:  27 weeks
Gender:  Girl
Belly button in or out: Out 95% of the time.
Maternity clothes:  Still the same.
Stretch marks: None yet.
Sleep: Still good for the most part.
Best moment this week: I thought of something in the middle of the week that I was going to write for this one, but now I don't remember it.  Not that that surprises me.. I'm lucky I remember my own name these days.
Miss anything: A ice cold glass of sangria on a hot summer night sounds pretty good to me right about now (as the snow is coming down for the ten-millionth time in the past few weeks).
Movement:  She's a mover and a shaker.
Cravings:  Still loving anything sweet.  Yogurt on rice cakes consumption is at an all time high.
Queasy or sick:  Feeling good, other than the occasional heartburn in the middle of the night - something I had never experienced until little Ellie came around.
Looking forward to:  Valentine's Day next year when we have our baby girl to celebrate with us! :)

26 Weeks

How far along:  26 weeks
Gender:  Girl
Belly button in or out: Same as last week.
Maternity clothes:  Still the same!  Making the non-maternity shirts last as long as possible.
Stretch marks: None yet.
Sleep: Sleep this week wasn't great being away from home.  Apparently I sleep better in a queen size bed with Tyler, 3 cats, and a body pillow the size of a third (adult) human than I do all by myself in a king size bed. ;)
Best moment this week: Coming home last night!  A close second was Tyler's reaction to the Patriots winning the Super Bowl (or more so when Butler intercepted the ball) - just a little excited!
Miss anything: Nothing new, just the usual.
Movement:  Yes.  She also seems to enjoy completely squishing whatever is under the right side of my rib cage.
Cravings:  Still loving anything sweet.  The turkey burger I got this week also really hit the spot.
Queasy or sick:  Feeling good.
Looking forward to:  Hopefully actually starting to work on Ellie's room soon!  As everyone keeps reminding me, 14 weeks isn't that far away. :)
