36 Weeks + Ellie's Nursery

How far along:  36 weeks
Gender:  Girl
Belly button in or out: Out.
Maternity clothes:  Still a mix, but obviously mostly just non-maternity things that can be worn unbuttoned/unzipped.
Stretch marks: Still nothing new.  Running low on my belly butter and hoping it'll last until baby girl arrives! I bought one container of Burt's Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter & have been using it at least once a day pretty much since we found out about Ellie - pretty good in my book!
Sleep: Once (if) I can get comfortable, sleep is fine.  Other than the bathroom breaks.  And thinking about how I should get up and clean the house or prep dinner at 3 am...
Best moment this week: A quick two minute ultrasound this week to make sure Ellie is head down (she is!).  It appears she has grown quite a bit since I last got to see her - 17 weeks ago already!  It also appears my body is preparing for her arrival quite nicely.  Hoping that means she comes sooner rather than later, but I know she will come when she's ready.  I would, however, like to have her here by Mother's Day. :)
Miss anything:  Just being comfortable I guess. I feel like I've been saying this forever and it just keeps getting worse. Go figure ;)
Movement:  Kicks and squirms.  Mostly just her little legs and feet moving around, some arms/hands down low and the occasional hiccups.
Cravings:  Loving raspberry lemonade. I also may have given in and eaten an extra large bowl of coffee ice cream last night.
Queasy or sick:  Still good.
Looking forward to:  This week's doctor's appointment - can't wait to see if she's any closer to making her debut!

I thought I'd share a few (million) pictures of girlfriend's nursery - at least half of which have a cat or two in them.  It's not 100% done, but it's pretty close!  I have a couple more things to hang up and then we want to add some newborn pictures to the room once she arrives.  We're pretty happy with how it's coming along. :)

Considering it's the smallest bedroom in our house (smallest room other than the bathroom), I don't think it looks too cramped.

I think I mentioned this before, but Ellie's rocker was an old chair we had sitting in our basement for the past 3 years.  Tyler's parents gave it a makeover and it came out really nice!  I added a before picture at the bottom of the post. :)

Love love love this little nightlight!

We got Ellie's crib from Tyler's grandparents and Tyler gave it a makeover, too.  The white was an excellent choice if I do say so myself. ;)  I added a before picture of the crib at the bottom of the post.

Also, we know the crib sides technically aren't suppose to be able to come down - we'll make sure it's nice and secure for baby girl. :)

The kitty corner.

My mom painted my old bureau white and added some cute knobs - pink and animal print, of course!  I really like the little pop of pink.

The only piece of furniture we bought was the little nightstand on Amazon, for some additional storage space and organization.  Plus, it will be nice to have a table top right next to the rocker.

Our little library so far.

And the overflow of toys/stuffed animals tucked away in her closet.  We quickly realized that babies have a lot of stuff...

All of her clothes have been washed and are ready to go!  Her drawers smell like baby laundry detergent when you open them - so good. :)

Here's a before picture of the chair - crazy, right?  Rough shape is an understatement.

And a before picture of the crib.  It was in really good shape, I just had my heart set on white and I'm really glad Tyler agreed! :)

35 Weeks

How far along:  35 weeks
Gender:  Girl
Belly button in or out: Out.
Maternity clothes:  Still a mix.
Stretch marks: Still nothing new.
Sleep: Sleep has been better, but I guess it could also be worse.  It would be nice if I didn't have to make an 800 point turn every time I tried to roll over.
Best moment this week: Scheduling my doctor appointments for the next 3 weeks felt pretty good!  My doctor wants us to start coming in weekly a week or two earlier than unusual. I'm not complaining - maybe it means she'll make her debut a little early and I won't have to schedule any more appointments after the next three? :)
Miss anything:  A cold beer on a Friday night, a pair of jeans that fit just right... and a sandwich.
Movement:  Yes, definitely some painful kicks to the ribs lately.
Cravings:  Maybe adding corn muffins to the list.. gotta keep a box of Jiffy mix on hand, just in case. ;)
Queasy or sick:  Still good. Just tired!
Looking forward to:  Our goal is to have the nursery done (or at least as done as it's going to get for now) by the end of this weekend! I feel like it's been the never ending project - I can only imagine how Tyler feels -  so it'll be nice to have it ready for Ellie. :)

34 Weeks

How far along:  34 weeks
Gender:  Girl
Belly button in or out: Out.
Maternity clothes:  Still a mix.
Stretch marks: Still nothing new.
Sleep: I think I have a new personal record for the number of times I've woken up to pee during the night (5).
Best moment this week: My baby shower.  It was really nice to see everyone and we got more stuff than we know what to do with - literally, we are running out of room in our house.  We also have all of the nursery furniture now! Tyler is working on painting the crib (because I really wanted a white one). He's a champ. :) This week also marked our 11 year "dating" anniversary. We both agree it feels like it's been much longer than that. ;)
Miss anything:  Hoping my skin goes back to "normal" after Ellie comes - it's been breakout city over here for the past 8 months.
Movement:  She is certainly a wild child in there. I swear she is shy and can tell when people are watching or trying to feel her move though.
Cravings:  Same as before. Lots of water (may be why I have to get up in the middle of the night so many times).
Queasy or sick:  Just big and uncomfortable.  Feeling like a turtle on its back trying to get out of bed.
Looking forward to:  Playing Easter Bunny next year. :)  Also, I completed my FMLA paperwork this week - if Ellie comes on her due date, I won't be going back to work until the week of August 10th!  Sounds like a long time, but I know it will fly by.  Not sure the timing could be any more perfect though.  I am definitely looking forward to spending some nice summer days with our girl.

Speaking of summer... we're also very excited that baby girl has a middle name!  Ellia Summer Noel - after my favorite (the best) time of year.  If she's anything like her mama, she'll definitely be a summer girl. :)

And just because I love this picture of my boys.  Ellie's room is their favorite - for now at least!
