It's halfway through September, which means it's almost October, which means it's almost Halloween (pretty much). In case you missed the memo, I'm totally and completely way too excited to have Ellie here for all of these upcoming holidays. I've been dreaming up fun ideas to do once we had a baby for a while now. Well, here she is and her first Halloween is almost here! These ideas might be a little over the top for our first Halloween "party", but I'm always looking for a little inspiration. :)
I want to have a Halloween breakfast one weekend in October, with a few fun + festive decorations and food (yes, despite the fact that she can't eat it yet). Like I said, it will be much more scaled down this year since she really won't um, care? But I will have so much fun doing it, and I hope to get some cute pictures! I'm all about starting new traditions and think it would be so fun to include friends + family in the future (little cousins, maybe?!). I want to make these candy corn waffles that I mentioned last year and never made. I figured we could have breakfast (and maybe a little dessert - these guys are on my must-bake list), and then carve Ellie's first pumpkin. A pajama pumpkin carving party, perhaps? I'm thinking I want to try to do something like this. Yes, more cats. Go figure. :)
If you're looking for decorations + supplies, etsy and Target seem to be the places to be! Here are a few fun things I've found so far.
treat boxes // witch hat straws // pumpkin string lights // trick or treat lights // bat cup // paper fans // spiderweb garland // kitty ears // happy halloween banner (also love this boo one)
I'm totally obsessed with all of these fun balloon ideas, and I also love the set-up below.
Do you have any fun Halloween party plans? My excitement level is over the top just thinking about it! :)
I love this! Since Isla's birthday is so close to Halloween, we have had costume parties for her birthday party the last two years, & plan on doing the same this year (and maybe until she decides she doesn't want to anymore?!) I feel like it would still be fun when she's a little older and has some more input haha..it's a good way to get more use out of the costume that you only wear once--especially considering how expensive some can be for a darn costume! (Although they do make good dress up play clothes for later haha) I am definitely always on the look out for festive things like this ;) love the decorations! If you come across anything else particularly exciting let me know!!
ReplyDeleteThat's so fun! I can't believe she's going to be three. Crazy! You're more crafty than I am so you could probably make you're own decorations haha but I was surprised at how much stuff Target had, and everything is pretty cheap! :)
DeleteI love the white cat pumpkin carving idea!! So different, its awesome and very "you"! :) I love how festive you are! I need to lean some tricks from you! Thanks for sharing your fun ideas! :):)
ReplyDeleteThanks!! :) I'm a little crazy but it's fun!
