Football season is officially here and you know we'll be watching the Patriots play tonight! Or at least I will until I pass out. I'm not too big on the night games, especially since Ellie has been going to bed by 9:30 lately (knock on all. the. wood.). I'm also not going to sit here and pretend like I'm a huge football fan, because I'm not. But I do watch a little and am always rooting for New England! Gotta love Bill and his cutoff sweatshirt sleeves (#stylin).
With the change in seasons coming, I am thinking of incorporating some new items into our weekly dinner rotations. We typically have a lot of the same stuff every week, which quite often involves a little game called eat whatever you can find that’s not gone bad (if we’re being honest). While we will use our grill until there’s too much snow on our deck to get to it, we’ll definitely be using it less than we do in the summer weather. So, we’re going to start having Soup Sundays! And I’m on the hunt for new recipes to try. I’m looking forward to throwing everything in the crockpot Sunday morning and not having dinner prep interfere with any football watching shenanigans. ;)
I found these recipes from Shape magazine. Each one is supposed to make four servings, so I'll probably double them so we can have them for a few nights. I think I'm going to try the Tortilla soup this week - I've never tried tortilla soup before but it sounds really good! I'm sure I'll try making a classic chicken noodle at some point, too. If you have any good soup recipes, please send them my way. :)
On a completely unrelated note, I wanted to try to get a nice picture of Ellie and I for my page on the Rad Haus website, and this is what we got. Not a single one where we're both looking, naturally.

I swear, we will get professional family photos taken this Fall.
Hope you guys are having a great week! GO PATS! :)
