Our Weekend

Friday night, my mama heart was so happy when Ellie actually seemed to like her Halloween basket!  Well, the kitty rattles and books anyway. :)  Saturday was a pretty cool, rainy Fall day so we took full advantage of the cozy atmosphere and didn't leave the house (or our pajamas).  Lots of kitty chasing + cuddles on the couch.  If you missed it, you can see more Ellie giggles on Facebook.  I also gave Ellie a sink bubble bath and she totally loved it and probably ate her weight in bubbles.  She definitely seemed a little disappointed when I took the baby tub back out on Sunday.

My littlest kitten stayed up way past her bedtime on Saturday night (much to my chagrin) and helped me update our chalkboard for Halloween.  Despite my love of cats, I have never been good at drawing them.  So, I'm considering the fact that this slightly resembles a feline, and I did it while I had a little helper on my hip, to be an accomplishment.

On Sunday, we went to my parents house and, after a minor Ellie meltdown, had a delicious dinner with them (we missed you, Auntie Whit!).  Of course, my mom had a Halloween present for Ellie, too.  I guess the crazy apple doesn't fall far from the tree! :)  I was so happy that the sun was shining and it ended up being a pretty nice day.
I'm not entirely sure why child is always dressed better than I am, but she definitely is.

Hope you had a good weekend!! :)

P.S. I saw this when I was up feeding Ellie last night and it made me laugh out loud so I have to share!  SO true.

P.P.S. I posted my 100th blog post last week and totally didn't realize it. Crazy, right?! As I said before, I love having anything and everything Ellie- related documented on here and look forward to sharing more.  I'm sure Ellie will love it one day, too! :) Thanks for reading!!

  1. Seriously I can not get over that cute little jean shirt! Ah. I am so glad that she liked her Halloween basket :):) Did you end up getting pumpkins this weekend? You should come to that little farm stand by my house to get the white pumpkin's again and we should all get some ice cream at The Barn! Also love how your mom and dad are right on the floor with the little miss, so adorable.
