Halloween Weekend

Ellie got her first taste of shopping cart riding at Target on Saturday morning!  She lasted a total of about ten minutes before she kept reaching for anything and everything and would just kind of fall over, so I ended up carrying her cute butt around for the rest of the morning - it was nice while it lasted though!  I have a love-hate relationship with Target (okay, mostly love). SO many cute things, so little money to spend.  They had just started putting the Christmas stuff out and I loved it all... it took some serious willpower to stick to our shopping list! There was also the cutest bar cart ever - I can't find it online, so that kind of makes me want to go pick it up even more.  I told Tyler that maybe Santa will bring it to me. ;) I am totally my own Santa year-round, so I don't actually need anything, nor do I have a place to put it right now, but it was reallllly cute. That's Target for ya.

After doing all of our grocery shopping, we got ready, took some pics and headed out to my parents house.  We didn't take Ellie trick or treating because, well, she can't eat candy, but we did bring her over to their neighbors house to show off the cuteness! ;)

I can't believe another first holiday for Ellie is over already! Her costume was everything that I had hoped it would be - I think the tail really sealed the deal!  We had to bribe Aubrey with treats to get a picture of the two of them together, but they look pretty cute, right?? :)  They're my girls!

On Sunday, Ellie started our day dark and early - daylight savings screwed up our schedule(ish) majorly.  We didn't do anything too exciting, but we did listen to some Christmas music and work on Ellie's Christmas list a little bit!  So, so excited that it's so close. Yep, I will totally be talking about Christmas in every post from now until December 25th, so you better buckle up! ;)

I also let Ellie have a little fun with her first sippy cup on Sunday.  We tried the Munchkin Miracle 360 cups first.  She ended up taking a couple small sips (most likely on accident), and seemed to have more fun chucking it on the floor, but it was fun to see what she did with it.  Those cups are really cool, but I'm thinking we'll have better luck trying to get her to actually drink out of a more traditional style sippy cup - we'll see! :)

I don't know about you, but I loved seeing everyone's Halloween costumes popping up all over my Instagram feed - so cute!  Hope you all had a great weekend! :)

  1. Those cups are awesome!!!! I have a water bottle with a top like that that I love...not that I'm a baby or anything haha. We gave Weston a sippy cup too to try this weekend! He enjoyed throwing it as well haha but did take a few sips but had an overall confused/slightly disgusted facial expression every sip he took! Ellie looked so cute dressed up!
