It's officially December which means the countdown to Christmas is officially on! I have no idea what I'm going to talk about after Christmas time is over, but I've got a few more weeks to think about that. ;) In the meantime, we're in full-on festive mode over here!! I've spent hours sitting on the floor of our living room making, or attempting to make, a few different things with our tree trimmings the past few days and will be sure to share them soon if they don't s completely suck. Our tree is lit up from the time we wake up to the time we go to sleep, Ellie + mama Christmas music dance parties are plentiful, and we've been brainstorming what we're going to buy for our favorite people this year! It certainly is starting to look + feel a lot like Christmas... And I am LOVING it.
We are also totally drowning in both cat fur and pine needles like I knew we would be (and as evidenced by the photo above). Ellie has some toy balls that are just about the size of those ornaments so you know she thinks all of the ornaments are her toys, too. The cats are always fighting over who gets to sleep in the back corner under the tree, trying to drink the water from the stand, and messing up the tree skirt two seconds after I fix it every single time. So, nothing outside of my expectations. ;)
Did anyone watch A Charlie Brown Christmas last night? I ended up recording it (why was it on at 9:00?? I know, old lady status) but will be watching it soon! When I think of December 1st, one of the first things that comes to mind is ABC Family's 25 Days of Christmas! You can find the complete schedule here - you know, in case you want to mark your calendars with your favorites. ;) TV Guide also has a holiday schedule (found here), and it looks like Rudolph is on tonight!! We love most of the Christmas TV specials and movies, and Christmas Vacation is probably our favorite to watch together, but The Family Stone wins as the best movie in my book!
Before I go, here are a few photos that I came across while trying to clean up my 3,329 pictures on my phone last night (spoiler alert: I didn't get very far)...
A just shy of three months old Ellie decorated for Christmas in July!
And these two photos that make two things clear: 1.) I'm obsessed with stripes, and 2.) we spend a whole lot of time reading books in bed.
I never knew there was a Holiday TVGuide - thank you so much for posting!! Most adorable pictures, as always :)
ReplyDeleteNo problem!! Gotta make sure you catch all your favorites! :) and thank you!
