Friday Favorites Weekend Edition

I was planning on posting a Friday Favorites post, but better late than never, right? :)  We had a super quiet weekend over here.  The weather wasn't the greatest but the cool air was a little bit of a relief since Ellie doesn't sleep too well when it's really hot and humid out like it has been.  Some waffles and lots of couch cuddles were the highlights of our weekend!

 While I am very much looking forward to getting back to normal July temps this week, it felt a little bit like fall this weekend which was very fitting for all of the adorable finds hitting the shelves!!  Perhaps I shouldn't put this in writing because Tyler will totally hold me to it, but I am going to try really hard to limit the amount of clothes I buy for Ellie for the fall.  Her closet and dresser and stuffed full, but I tend to have a few outfits that I love and wouldn't mind repeating more often than not.  My plan is to pick a handful of key pieces that I really love and that can be easily mixed + matched.  That being said, thinking back to last fall, two of my favorite items in Ellie's closet were definitely her faux fur vest (still available in limited sizes here) and her chambray button down.  There are similar items this year (vest and button down) that are going on the must-have list! :)  I am working on writing down exactly what I think I want to get so I don't go crazy (i.e. one jacket, two pairs of tights, etc.) and will share soon if I have any luck!  Of course some festive jammies will also be making the cut.  Have I mentioned how fun it is to shop for a little girl?

If you're looking for a dinner idea this week, Tyler made homemade pizza recently and even made the dough which we usually buy pre-made.  It was a spur of the moment idea and random google search find, but this no-yeast crust recipe turned out to be really yummy.

Sunday night blues are nonexistent today and I am so excited for a little day trip to the beach later this week!  Hope you all had an awesome weekend + have a great start to your week! :)
