Flamingo Sunday Funday

We're trying to soak up all of the summery goodness while it's still here, which of course meant we had to bust out the giant flamingo float at my aunt's pool over the weekend!  We weren't sure if we'd be able to transport her blown up, but we left her neck deflated and somehow Tyler was able to squeeze her into the trunk of my car.  Just sharing that tidbit in case anyone is in the same boughtagiantflamingofloatwithnowheretouseit boat as us. ;)

We all had a few good laughs watching everyone try to get on her without completely wiping out (who would have thought it'd be such a challenge?) and I think the only person who didn't like her was Ellie... likely because she preferred to spend the entire afternoon eating potato chips in the shade under the umbrella or going up + down the stairs five hundred times.  Either way, it was a fun time and there plenty of embarrassing photos and videos to prove it. ;)

Floating on a giant flamingo might have been the highlight of my weekend.

 We always love seeing our family on the weekends and summertime just makes everything a little bit sweeter.  Speaking of family... we are eagerly awaiting the arrival of our nephew (making us an auntie + uncle for the first time!), so this week is bound to be an exciting one for us. :)  Hope yours is off to a great start!!
